2ND MEMBERSHIP MEETING - Porsche of Albuquerque
 
Description: A meeting of the Roadrunner Region Board and interested members. Everyone's welcome!

6TH

RRR FAMILY PICNIC at PINE FLAT PICNIC AREA
 

Description:

This is a time-honored Roadrunner Region tradition and it's a great way to begin the summer.  We have a different location this year, but we'll have the same fun that we have every year! The club will provide food and beverages and there's an area for playing games. If you want to bring beer or wine, please do so.  And new for this year: an informal concours with prizes!!

Pine Flat Picnic Area

From Albuquerque drive east on I-40 approx 7 miles to exit 175. Proceed south on Hwy 337 6-1/2 miles to Pine Flat Picnic Ground on the east side of the highway.  After the exit east onto Oak Flat Road, after one mile you come to the Oak Flat Picnic Area, and proceed to 001 Pine site.  The area holds 30 cars; 2 spots for handicapped parking.

2ND ANNUAL GERMANY INVADES BURQUE CAR SHOW
 

Description:

Lee and Kim Stauffacher invite you to bring your beautiful Porsche to their shop for the 2nd annual car show. Classic - 356, 904, etc.

Early Air-cooled - 1965 through 1983 912, 914, 911

Late Air-cooled - 1984 through 1998 911 (through 993)

Water-cooled - 996, 997, Cayenne, Boxster, Cayman, 924, 944, 951

 

VW:

Early Bug - through 1967

Early Bus - to 1967

Late Bug - 1968 and up

Late Bus - 1967 and up

Type 3/ Ghia - all

Baja - all

Sandrail - all

 

Audi:

1st Place - all

 

BMW:

Early - to 1970

Late - 1970 and up

 

Mercedes:

Early - to 1970

Late - 1970 and up

 

Best of Show

Car show starts at 9am

PS Performance, 10300 Menaul Blvd NE, Suite 8, Albuquerque, NM

 

Cost:

$10/car for the car show

Lunch will be served for $5/person (1 burger or 2 hot dogs, chips, potato salad, and beverage)

Raffle tickets are $1 each; raffle tickets for the dyno pulls are free

Discounted dyno pulls ($30) will be offered to show participants for 1 hour after awards are presented

21ST

DIE SERIE #4, SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE - SANDIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
 

Description:

We're back at our favorite track! Join us for a full day of autocross fun on the track. The course map will be posted soon and we're all looking forward to seeing the challenges awaiting us. And we hope to see many of our fellow SCCA'ers.  As usual, loaner helmets and instructors will be available.   Click here for the course map.

 

When:

Registration from 8am to 9am.

MANDATORY Drivers' meeting at 9:30am

First car off at ~10am

 

Where:

Sandia Motor Speedway

 

Directions: From Albuquerque, head east on I-40. Exit at Paseo del Vulcan and turn left to head south, over I-40. Turn right, onto the frontage road and head west for 4 miles. At the stop sign, turn left onto Shelly Rd. At the stop sign, turn right and then turn left into the gate at Sandia Motor Speedway.

 

Cost:

$50/driver

Zia 356 Rott Heiss Tour 2009
 

Description:

The Zia 356 club invites the Roadrunners to join them in July! Details on meeting in Albuquerque and driving to Angel Fire will be posted soon.

 

Where:

Angel Fire Resort----1-888-472-0124,  Mention Zia 356 Club for $79.00 rate. 6-15-09 deadline on this rate After the deadline, a late fee of $15 will be charged.

 

Cost:

 

Cost per registrant: $110.00. This includes Saturday's activities as follows; Lunch, guided tour of Taos Pueblo, Saturday night fiesta buffet, t-shirt ,  Saturday driving  tour, and Happy Hour both Friday and Saturday.

DIE SERIE #5 AUTOCROSS - PORSCHE+AUDI CHALLENGE at SANDIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY!
 

Description:

Back-to-back autocrosses at Sandia - what a deal! We've invited the Audi club and the interest from them is already growing. Let's show them how it's done!! Loaner helmets and instructors will be available, as always. PLUS - a free t-shirt to the first 40 participants!
