Roadrunner Region, PCA

We would like to remind everyone that the Roadrunner Region uses the PCA Parade Competition Rules for our Autocross program. This was first proposed in January of 2007, and agreed to at the September 2007 Board Meeting.

While the overall operation of the Die Serie has not changed (event administration, trophies, etc.), the car classing and preparation allowance will now reflect that of the PCA via the PCR's. We strongly recommend that EVERYONE that will participate in Autocross in 2010 download the 2010 Rules from the link above.

While we plan to have limited numbers of copies available at each DS event, it is the competitors' responsibility to acquire, read, and understand the new preparation rules and car classing structure.

Please review the car preparation allowances carefully. If you have any questions about you car's classification, please contact either Brian Leduc or Russ Kelso, who make up the 2010 DS Rules Committee.

Here are a few key points to remember when reviewing the PCRs:

1. In order to make things easier to find, we have available for download both a complete copy of the PCR’s including all three major Parade competitions (Concours, Rally and Autocross), and an abbreviated version with only the Autocross rules.

2. We are only concerned with the section of the autocross rules that cover car classification and preparation allowances. Event administration and operation will follow the 2010 Die Serie rules, which were updated to remove the preparation allowances and car classification data.

3. For 2010, we are going to continue using the Large Region class structure. There are pro's and con's to doing so, but it has been agreed by the board that we will use the large region structure for classification, rather than the small or medium region structure. We will continue to monitor the autocross program for 2010.

Lastly, we would like to ask for everyone's help in taking the time to download and read the car classification and preparation rules, and to make a good faith effort to determine your car's proper class. Knowing one's class in advance will go a long way towards insuring that our events will run smoothly with a minimum of disruption.
